The Art Studies Concentration is focused on the practice and theory of art, which provides the foundation for students’ independent exploration and artistic development. The incorporation of four art electives promotes multidisciplinary art and design investigation. Students in this concentration are encouraged to pursue graduate studies.

1. 120 semester hours:
Complete a minimum of 120 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. The last 30 hours must be completed at NCCU. Students must repeat ‘D’ and ‘F’ grades in major courses.
2. General Education Requirement:
Complete General Education Curriculum required by the university as detailed on the four-year course of study. Students must have a ‘D’ or better in all GEC required courses.
