Curriculum Requirements
This Minor in Environmental Science is a 21 credit hours program designed to provide students with ability to document how anthropogenic activities contribute to various types of pollution and affect the balance in ecosystems. Students will also have a working knowledge of the environmental science and ability to apply their knowledge of environmental science to sustainability and environmental justice issues in local communities and global society.
1. 21 Semester Hours:
Complete a minimum of 21 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better. All hours must be completed at NCCU. Students must achieve a minimum grade of “C” in all courses used to satisfy requirements for the Environmental Science Minor. For the Minor in Environmental Science students are required to complete: introductory level environmental science courses (12 credit hours); upper level environmental science courses (6 credit hours); and an elective course in applied geographic techniques (3 credit hours).
2. General Education Requirement:
Freshman and sophomore years: complete General Education Curriculum required by the University as detailed on the four-year course of study, except the following department prescribed general education courses
