GEOG 4230 - Minerals, Energy and Environment (3) Prerequisites: Sophomore standing or higher. A study of the accessibility of mineral and energy resources to population centers. The impacts of extracting and using mineral and energy resources on natural environments are examined. Conservation methods and planning strategies are analyzed. Particular attention is given to non-traditional energy sources as a means of pollution abatement.
