Requirements for the Master of Arts in Psychology
1. A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
2. General Concentration - A minimum of 30 semester hours of psychology courses including:
3. Clinical Concentration - A minimum of 49 semester hours of graduate psychology courses including:
4. Successful completion
Successful completion of a reading proficiency examination in a foreign language, completion of an approved graduate statistics course or proficiency in a modern computer language. If PSYG 5100 is used to meet this requirement in the general concentration, three additional graduate level hours in psychology are required. 5. Successful completion of a comprehensive written examination.
6. Successful completion of an oral examination associated with the thesis.
Note:
A minimum of 5 hours of PSYG 5220 is required; a maximum of 6 hours is allowable. A minimum of 3 hours of PSYG 5900 is required; a maximum of 6 hours is allowable.
