Post-Master’s Certificate Program in Digital Librarianship (DL)

The Post-Master’s Certificate in Digital Librarianship (DL) is a 24-credit hour program intended for those who hold a master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences or related disciplines to refresh and update their knowledge and skills, or to look for a new career in digital archives, digital libraries, and other kinds of digital collection.  The program is designed to meet the growing demand for digital librarians in libraries, archives, museums, government agencies, and businesses.  Through advanced course work, this certificate program aims to give students a solid foundation on and a compressive understanding of digital asset management and related issues in terms of technologies, standards, practices, policies and use.  Courses focus on designing digital library interfaces, organizing and accessing digital collections and data, using appropriate cutting-edge technologies, building a learning environment, fostering community engagement, and promoting social interactions.
