I. Admission Requirements
Prospective students for the licensure program must hold or qualify for an initial teaching license. Students will also have to fulfill the general Admission Requirements for pursuing the Master of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences as described above.
Professional Core - 9 hours
Specialty Area - 6 hours
Two courses from one of the following specialty areas:
C. Human Development and Family Studies
Education Core - 18 hours
Portfolio - 3 hours
FCSG 5910 - National Boards Certification Portfolio
Total Credit Hours in NS-DIP Concentration - 36 hours
III. Exit Requirements
- A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher is required.
- Successful completion of at least 36 credit hours of graduate courses is required.
- Successful completion of the National Boards Certification Portfolio is required for the M.S. degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with Licensure.
