SOCI 3210 - Social Differentiation and Inequality (3) Prerequisites: SOCI 2100 or SOCI 2000 . A study of the distribution of power, wealth, and prestige within societies, and the social and cultural consequences of this distribution. The course examines from a global perspective why the categories of race, class, gender, ethnicity, and sexuality are socially constructed, maintained, and experienced.
