EPHY 3400 - Digital Systems Laboratory (3) Prerequisites: PHYS 3100 . This course will cover digital design topics such as digital logic, sequential building blocks, finite-state machines, field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), timing and synchronization. Lectures and problem sets will introduce fundamental topics then students will embark on lab assignments and ultimately, a digital design project. The lab introduces practical aspects of analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion. The students would design and implement a final digital project of their choice, in areas such as games, music, digital filters, wireless communications, video, and graphics.
