BIOL 1201 - Principles of Biology: Organisms and Diversity (4) This course is one of two introductory courses for biology majors and persons who will be taking upper-level courses in biology. A survey of the kingdoms of living organisms, an introduction to the anatomy and physiology of the systems of the vertebrate body, an introduction to evolutionary theory and the evidence of evolution, and an introduction to the fundamental principles of ecology. (Three lecture hours and two laboratory hours per week)
