EDU 3525 - Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching (3)
Corequisites: EDU 3520 EDU 3525 (corequisite EDU 3520) presents mathematical content and curricula exploring candidates’ mathematical knowledge for teaching. The purpose of this course is to expand upon candidates’ mathematical knowledge and pedagogical practices needed for teaching in the elementary grades. Content will be presented through explorations in the domains and structures for effectively teaching mathematics. Additionally, candidates will use multiple approaches to effectively solve problems while incorporating the mathematical tasks of teaching.
