COMP 4825 - Introduction to Computer Game Design and Implementation (3) Prerequisites: C or better in COMP 3710 and MATH 3420 . An introduction to the technology and science involved in the creation of computer games with emphasis on hands-on development of games including the study of a variety of software technologies relevant to games: game physics, programming languages, scripting languages, operating systems, file systems, networks, simulation engines, and multi-media design systems. Group projects will involve system implementation but emphasize design and use of existing tools. The final project will require the students to go through all phases of system conceptualization, specification, design, implementation, and evaluation.
