COMP 2110 - Introduction to Computers and Their Applications (3)

A high-level introductory course to computers and their applications for non-majors. Topics include data representation/storage, machine architecture, machine language, operational commands in DOS and Unix operating systems, introduction to programming concepts and data structures, file management, network basics, Internet, LAN, virus protection, World Wide Web, search engines, and web page creation using HTML, and Internet applications (mail, FTP, telnet, newsgroups).
