Mass Communication Minor

Curriculum Requirements

The minor in Mass Communication requires the completion of 21 hours of Mass Communication courses as described below.  The grade of C or better must be earned in the foundational courses MSCM 2400 Introduction to Mass Communication: Structure and Social Impact  and MSCM 2440 Reporting and Writing for Mass Media  before students are eligible for courses for which the foundational courses are prerequisites.

To complete the minor, students must do the following:

 

I. Complete all of the following courses

II. Select from the three courses from other MSCM classes at or above the 2000 level.

Note:  The following classes have prerequisites:  MSCM 3570 , MSCM 3580 , MSCM 4625 , MSCM 4635 , MSCM 4640 , MSCM 4591 .
