Curriculum Requirements


1.  Complete a minimum of 124 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher. The last 30 hours must be completed at NCCU.

2.  Complete the General Education Curriculum .

3.  Complete the following departmental required courses:  PSY 2100 , PSY 2130 , PSY 2400 , PSY 2410 , PSY 3100 , PSY 3300 , PSY 3310 , PSY 3400 , PSY 3500      PSY 4100 , PSY 4920 .

4.  Complete at least 1 (one) course in each of the following clusters:

Cluster A - Clinical & Developmental Psychology [1 course required] PSY 3200 , PSY 4120 , PSY 4121 

Cluster B - Applied and Social Psychology [1 course required] PSY 3410 , PSY 3600 , PSY 4310 , PSY 3420  

Cluster C - Behavior, Brain, and Cognition [1 course required] PSY 4112 , PSY 4200 , PSY 4400 , PSY 4500 

Cluster D - Applied Experiential Learning (Theory to Workforce Experience) PSY 4210, PSY 4900 , PSY 4910 

5.  Students must earn grades of “C” or better in prerequisite courses before admittance to courses for which the prerequisites are required.

6.  Earned grades of “C” or higher in all courses required for the major.
