The Graduate-Level E-Learning Instructor (ELI) Certificate in the School of Education focuses on credentialing innovative experienced practitioners in online teaching and learning. The Certificate is a qualification that identifies candidate expertise that has been gained through the immersion and mastery of “E-Learning Engineering Standards” that apply to the online instruction via Virtual Learning Environments. The certificate is awarded after completing 18 hours of courses that focus on Digital Competencies in Online Course: Design, Deployment, Measurement, Programming, and Teleconferencing.

Certificate Admissions Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized and accredited institution;
- A minimum 2.75 GPA overrall at the undergraduate level. Prospective candidates with a GPA betwen 2.5 and 2.749 must have earned a minimum grade point average 2.75-3.0 for the last four semesters of study of their bachelor’s degree;
- Two letters of recommendation submitted by persons who are knowledgeable about the candidate and their work experience, (preferably those who have worked in a supervisory role with the applicant and who have direct knowledge of the applicant);
- A personal interview with members of the Faculty (either face to face or Virtually); and
- Official transcripts.

- Successful completion of the required 18 hours of ELI Certificate courses.
