Sports Medicine, BS


The requirements for intent to plan the program include the 35-40 credit hours required in the General Education Curriculum (GEC). The program will be a total of 120 credit hours with courses from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Math and Nutrition. There will be eight department core courses and eight program core courses. Students enrolled in this program will have to maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete and pass the courses of BIOL 1300  , BIOL 1610 & 1620  , MSCM 1250  , CHEM 1100 & 1200  , PHYS 2110 & 2120  , MATH 1100 & 1200  with a C or better.

Students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 to remain in the major and prior to enrolling in KIN 4620 Career Readiness and KIN 4640 Directed Professional Experience and must have completed all coursework with a “C” or better.

Students will not be allowed to enroll in the course if they have not finished all courses.

Students must complete KIN 2000 before enrolling in KIN 3000, 2010, 4110, 4120 and must complete KIN 4110 and 4120 before enrolling in KIN 4130. 

Students must complete KIN 2250, 2010, BIOL 1610 and 1620 before enrolling in KIN 3201. Students must complete KIN 3201 before enrolling in KIN 3202, 3230

Students must complete KIN 3230 before enrolling in KIN 3240

Many courses listed in the first year of this plan are specific to this degree program, and may not fulfill degree requirements for other programs at the University. Students are advised that changing their program of study from this major to another major, after the first year, can extend the time until graduation by a semester or more.
