Curriculum Requirements
The Art Studies Concentration is focused on the practice and theory of art, which provides the foundation for students’ independent exploration and artistic development. As a student in Art Studies, you’ll engage in interdisciplinary, intellectual work based in theory, analysis, history, and art and design methods and materials investigation. Art Studies graduates get jobs in art administration, studio management, and as art curators, art critiques, art historians, etc.
1. 120 semester hours:
Complete a minimum of 120 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. The last 30 hours must be completed at NCCU. Students must repeat ‘D’ and ‘F’ grades in major courses.
2. General Education Requirement:
Complete General Education Curriculum required by the university as detailed on the four-year course of study. Students must have a ‘D’ or better in all GEC required courses.
