1. A minimum of 36 semester hours:

A minimum of 36 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

2. Successful completion:

Successful completion of a reading proficiency examination in a foreign language or EDGR 5910 - Introduction to Statistical Methods in Education (3) .

3. Successful completion:

Successful completion of ENGG 5115 - Advanced Professional and Technical Writing (3) 

4. Successful completion of a comprehensive written examination.

5. Successful completion:

 Successful completion of an oral examination associated with the Research Project (Portfolio).

6. Completion of the following core requirements for the School of Education:

1. 24 semester hours:

24 semester hours are required in the core program of physical education and 12 semester hours are required in the education core.
