Information Science, M.I.S.
The Master of Information Science (M.I.S.) degree is a 36-hour graduate-level program that trains individuals to understand and analyze the role of information systems in solving organizational problems and achieving organizational goals. The focus is on designing information systems to help people and organizations function more effectively. There are two tracks: (1) Networking and Communications and (2) Strategic Information Management. Course Requirements (M.I.S.)
The following core courses are required: Track Requirements (M.I.S.)
For the Strategic Management track, these five courses are required:
Elective Requirements (M.I.S.)
M.I.S. students must also take an elective (consult your academic advisor) for a total of 36 hours of credit. Joint Degree Requirements (M.I.S./M.B.A.)
M.I.S./M.B.A students must take the core courses and an elective for a total of 24 hours of credit. Consult an academic advisor and the School of Business for a complete list of joint degree requirements. |
