The SLIS offers a 36–hour course of study leading to the American Library Association (ALA)-accredited Master of Library Science (M.L.S.) degree with a concentration in one of six tracks: academic librarian; archives and records manager; digital librarianship; public librarian; school media coordinator/school librarian; and special librarian. For the Public Librarian track, the type of library course, LSIS 5180 , The Public Library and elective courses to complete the 36-hours are required (consult the academic advisor in your track). |
