Biology Minor

Curriculum Requirements

The minor in biology consists of 21 semester hours in biology, including the following required courses:

• BIOL 1201 - Principles of Biology: Organisms and Diversity (4)
• BIOL 1202 - Principles of Biology: Molecules and Cells (4)
• BIOL 2200 - Molecular Biology of Cells I (3)
• BIOL 2220 - Molecular Biology of Cells II (3)
• BIOL 3100 - Genetics (4)
• BIOL 3200 - General Microbiology (4)

Curriculum

The minor will allow students in related STEM areas to have a core of Biological and Biomedical Sciences courses that will complement their major, as well as provide key required courses for health-related postgraduate program.
