Hispanophone Africana Studies Minor

The minor in Hispanophone Africana Studies is designed to enhance students’ career opportunities by providing a secondary field of expertise complementary to any and all majors. It is especially useful for students of law, education, nursing, and social services among others. Students in the program will develop Spanish language skills at the intermediate level and the cultural proficiency required in careers that provide services to Spanish speakers, which include a large portion of Afro-Hispanic women and men.
