I. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Students seeking unconditional admission to the graduate program in Criminal Justice must have an earned BS degree with a GPA of 3.0. A personal statement and writing sample is required.
Professional (P) and Research Career (RC) Options
Note:
*Practicum (CRIM 5465 ) is required of all students with less than one year experience in the criminal justice field. If waived, Criminal Justice Course must be substituted for earned credit hours.
Elective Courses - 9-12 hours
Select courses from the list below. Some courses will only be offered in fall or spring semester each year. Students should check with the Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice or the Director of the Program regarding the electives that will be offered for each semester.

III. EXIT REQUIREMENTS

A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher in required. A grade of “B” or better must be earned in the required graduate courses for both Thesis and Advanced Field Placement (Project).

At least 30 semester credit hours including the Thesis or Advanced Field Placement (Project). Must successfully complete an oral defense.
