OVERVIEW
The Department of History offers the Master of Arts degree in history, with concentrations in African history, African American history, European history, Latin American history, Public history, and United States history.
Students develop expertise in writing, researching, and analyzing historical change. The program prepares students for careers in secondary and higher education, government, the law, and business. Many M.A. graduates pursue further study at doctoral programs in history.
