CEMA 4340 - Statistical Inference (3) Prerequisites: C or better in CEMA 2500 and MATH 4210 . This course covers principles of statistical inference including confidence intervals and hypothesis testing. Topics include convergence of random variables: the law of large numbers and central limit theorem; fundamental concepts in inference: point estimation, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing; estimating the CDF; bootstrapping; hypothesis testing and p-values: Wald test, chi-square distribution, permutation test, likelihood ratio test, goodness-of-fit tests, F-test, etc.
