ENSC 4500 - Risk Assessment and Risk Communication (3) Pre- or Co-requisite: HEDU 3100 , ENSC 4200 or consent of the instructor. This course covers the fundamental concepts of environmental risk assessment, relative risk analysis, and risk perception, including identifying and quantifying human health impacts, and evaluating ecological risk. The course describes legislative and regulatory initiatives that use risk assessment as a framework for decision-making along with the controversy that surrounds such approaches.
