POLS 3230 - Political Organizing and Public Policy (3) Prerequisites: POLS 2100 . A study of the role of mass non-electoral political participation, specifically community organizing and social movements, in the development and trajectory of American democracy and public policy. The course will look at the historical and ongoing struggle to address racism, sexism, classism, environmental injustice, and other issues such as poverty and inequality.
