CSD (EDSH) 5782 - Advanced Seminar in Bilingualism (3)

Pre- or Co-requisite: CSD (EDSH) 5780  -  Bilingualism and Second Language Acquisition    This advanced seminar in bilingualism will examine current trends within the field of speech language pathlogy related to assessment and intervention for both pediatric and adult populations though guided in-class discussions and case-based learning. Culturally responsive practices related to bilingual populations will be emphasized including understanding the perception of disability across cultural groups, increasing caregiver health literacy, the intersectionality of orientalism and clinical practice, and addressing disproportionality.
