ENGG 5740 - The Twentieth-Century Novel (3) (Spring). An in-depth study of major novels by significant twentieth century writers with an emphasis on British and American works and a critical examination of the major movements and theoretical ideas that shaped the development of the novel as a genre. The course provides advanced study of the themes, techniques, and strategies common to modern and postmodern twentieth-century novels.
