Mission
The College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CASH) promotes North Carolina Central University’s commitment to excellence in scholarship and teaching, research, service, academic integrity, entrepreneurship, and principle-centered leadership. As a reflection of the cultural and intellectual diversity of the campus and the global community, the CAS engages students in multi-cultural learning and interdisciplinary collaboration. The college provides opportunities to cultivate rich theoretical knowledge and develop relevant practical skills for students to excel intellectually, artistically and professionally.
Vision
The College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities will be recognized as a body of outstanding educators, who generate an engaging environment of teaching, research, and service for educating and graduating diverse and well trained students who are equipped with impressive communication and critical thinking skills, subject knowledge, social consciousness, leadership skills and professional values that will allow them to make meaningful contributions to the global community through the discovery, dissemination, and advancement of knowledge in the liberal arts and sciences.
