1. General Education Requirement:

Freshman and sophomore years: complete the General Education Curriculum  in the Arts and Sciences Program as detailed in this catalog. ENG 1110  and ENG 1210  must be completed with a grade of C or better. English majors must take MSCM 1250  or MSCM 2200  to meet the “speaking intensive” requirement of the General Education Curriculum and PHIL 2210 - Ethics (3)  – to meet the ethics requirement.

2. Complete the following core English program and literature concentration requirements:

1. ENG 1300 , ENG 1400 , and ENG 1500  (Each must be completed with a grade of C or better.)
2. ENG 2310  and ENG 2320  
3. ENG 3110 , ENG 3120 , ENG 3300 , ENG 3310 , ENG 3320 , ENG 3410 , ENG 3420 , ENG 4000 , and ENG 4300  

Literature Concentration Electives:

1. ENG 3400 
2. ENG 4110  or ENG 4120  
3. ENG 4320  or ENG 4420  
4. Two electives to be selected from the following:  ENG 3505 , ENG 3605 , ENG 3700  or ENG 3800 , ENG 4200 , ENG 4700 , a second course in the novel and a second course in drama.
