Mass Communication Minor

Curriculum Requirements

The minor in Mass Communication requires the completion of at least 21 semester hours in Mass Communication. The grade of C or better must be obtained in the foundational courses MSCM 2400  and MSCM 2440 .

The following courses are required for the minor in Mass Communication:

• MSCM 2400 - Introduction to Mass Communication: Structure and Social Impact (3)
• MSCM 2430 - Mass Media and Society (3)
• MSCM 2440 - Reporting and Writing for Mass Media (3)

• MSCM 4605 - Communication Law (3)

Two MSCM electives
