Curriculum Requirements


Our Digital Filmmaking concentration provide majors with a foundation for entry into the filmmaking and digital storytelling fields, including producing, directing, editing, cinematography, production design, and sound with an emphasis on storytelling as a function of narrative communication. These skills are also applicable for graduates who want to pursue careers in fiction filmmaking, documentary production, music videos, commercials, and other branded content. 

1. 120 Semester Hours:


Complete a minimum of 120 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better. The last 30 hours must be completed at NCCU. Students must earn a “C” or better in all Program Requirement and Concentration Requirement courses.

2. General Education Requirement:


Freshman and sophomore years: complete General Education Curriculum required by the university as detailed on the four-year course of study. Students must have a “C” or better in ENG 1110 and ENG 1210.
