The Project Management for Biopharma Certificate program is structured to provide students with sufficient background, skills and knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences and project management to allow informed decision making in the design, management and implementation of drug discovery/development/clinical projects within a pharmaceutical setting. The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences have proposed a Project Management for Biopharma Certificate Program to meet the increasing job market demand for Project Management experience in the Biomedical field. The objective of this program is to provide students majoring in areas such as pharmaceutical sciences, biology, chemistry, business or public health as well as Community College students and people who work in other industries a training opportunity for career development in Project Management. The program offers 12 credit hours of didactic course work that covers Overview of the Drug Industry, Teamwork and Project Management. Graduates of this certificate program are expected to work in pharmaceutical or clinical research organizations or to advance project management education in an academic institution.
