Health Informatics - Certificate


The Certificate in Health Informatics program at the NCCU School of Library and Information Science focuses on knowledge and skills used in health or biomedical informatics, including the use of digital or electronic health records and data.  It is designed for healthcare, informatics, library and other information professionals who want to update or upgrade their professional knowledge and expand their skill sets.  Students that hold a degree in any knowledge or discipline are eligible to enroll in the Certificate program.

Admission Requirements


  1. Students that hold a degree in any discipline are eligible to enroll in the Certificate program.  Students seeking to do graduate work at the School of Library and Information Sciences must be formally admitted to the School by the Dean.  The applicant must hold a degree (or the equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree) from an accredited institution.  Students must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 for all academic work.  Students who already hold an MIS from NCCU SLIS are ineligible for this program.
