Pharmaceutical Sciences, B.S.


Curriculum Requirements


The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The mission of the department is to supports the College of Arts and Sciences commitment to excellence in scholarship, teaching and service. The Department engages in interdisciplinary teaching and research that provides relevant real world expertise for students to become skilled scientists to excel intellectually and professionally in a global environment and to pursue careers in science and management and graduate schools.

1. 120 Credit Hours:


A minimum of 120 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher and 3.0 or higher in courses within the major are required. Students must repeat ‘D’ and ‘F’ grades in major courses.

2. General Education Requirement:


Students complete General Education Curriculum  required by the university as detailed on the four-year course of study. GEC science and mathematics requirements are met in the major.

5. Additional Requirements


Students are required to make a poster presentation at the end of BRIT 4010 Lab Module I and an oral presentation at the end of BRIT 4020 Lab Module II.

Program Notes:


The 6 (credits) PHRM seminars satisfy 1 Social Sciences requirements. BIOL 4620 Bioethics  will satisfy the second GEC Humanities requirement
