Environmental and Geographic Science, Geoscience Concentration, B.S.

Curriculum Requirements


This concentration is designed to meet the education needs of students seeking to develop a focus on a specific area of human-environmental interaction as well as develop skills in geographic information science techniques, such as GIS and remote sensing.

1. 120 Semester Hours:


Complete a minimum of 120 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better.  The last 30 hours must be completed at NCCU.  Complete the General Education Curriculum (GEC) requirements as listed in this catalog, including speech intensive and writing intensive course.   Students much achieve a minimum grade of “C” in all courses listed as part of the Required Core (23 hours) as well as all courses used to satisfy requirements listed for the Geoscience Concentration (30 hours).  

2. General Education Requirement:


Complete General Education Curriculum  required by the University as detailed on the four-year course of study, except the following department prescribed general education courses.
