Program Modification - Higher Education Administration Program - We would like to remove the CON 5305 Special Topics: Workshop in Counseling course from the Higher Education Administration masters program requirements and replace it with the newly proposed HEA 5095: Higher Education Capstone Course.
Program Modification - Career Counseling and Placement - Is to modify the existing 48-hour credit, site-based and online programs in Career Counseling and Placement with Higher Education and School Counseling concentrations.
Request to Add a Course - HEA 5095 Higher Education Capstone - Students develop a culminating project provides students with an opportunity to develop a unique representation of what they have learned throughout the Higher Education Administration program while also producing a product that has the potential to enhance their professional profile. Topics covered include: topics selection and format, literature review, IRB proposal preparation, and commitee selection.
Request to Add a Course - HEA 5900 Special Topics in Higher Education - A special topics course designed to address topics of interest in higher education across various fields within the discipline.

Course Modification - Kinesiology and Recreation; Change all Kinesiology and Recreation Administration graduate courses to KRAG Subject Prefix, Change Prefix and Title.

Course Modification - KRAG 5125 Assessment in Adapted Sports - The change in the course title allows for the implementation of global perspectives within the adapted sport and adapted physical activity. This will increase opportunities collaboration of research with international faculty and students. Graduate students will now have experience with adapted sport which will be included within the course. This will also increase the opportunity to host clinics as well as tournaments on site for students to gain physical experience with assessing students, and atheletes.
Program Modification - The title of the concentration will change from Adapted Physical Education Pedagogy to Adapted Sports. Two new courses have been developed to be included in the modification of the concentration. Additional exisiting courses have been added within the curriculum.

Request to Add a New Course - KRAG 5220 Principles of Coaching - This course is designed to introduce students to the basic principles, philosophies and theories associated with effective coaching. A major emphasis will be placed on coaching philosophy, sport pedagogy, psychological aspects of coaching, and the legal issues involved with coaching athletes with and without disabilities at the secondary, collegiate, professional and national levels.
Request to Add a New Course - KRAG 5230 Strength and Conditioning - This course is designed to study the fundamental principles of training in adapted sports and exercise. It is intended to develop knowledge of the anatomical neuromuscular systems of athletes with disabilities while modifying movements to increase strength and conditioning.
Request to Add a New Course - KRAG 5240 Officiating Adapted Sports - The purpose of the course is to the study officiating requirements for adapted sports and games with an emphasis on mechanics, rule interpretation, and enforcement.

Program Modification - Communication Sciences and Disorders; 1) update the courses that can be used to fulfill the physical science prerequisite, 2) reduce the number of supervised clinical contact hours to 375, and 3) remove the option for students to submit a passing Praxis score as a written comprehensive exam measure.

Request to add a Course - INBS 8940 Doctoral Dissertation Research - Pre- or Co-requisite: Successful completion of all required doctoral courses and comprehensive exam. This course involves dissertation research under mentorship of a member of the Integrated Biosciences (INBS) program faculty after the student has been admitted to candidacy for the PhD degree program. Students will conduct research in their field of study related to their dissertation project. This course is non-billable and offered on a Pass/Fail basis.

Request to Add a New Course - MATG 5000: Advanced Linear Algebra - This course provides linear algebra background necessary for a variety of applied fields as well as advanced work in algebra and analysis. The topics from introductory linear algebra are expanded and presented in the context of vector spaces over a field. Topics include linear dependence and independence, bases, invariant subspaces, inner product spaces, the spectral theorem, singular value decomposition, the Cayley-Hamilton theorem and canonical forms.

This course answers this question and guides the student to explore and understand successful sales and sales management behaviors. Students will develop their competence in professional selling theory and approaches, presentation skills, and sales management techniques. Course topics include the selling process, the buying process, creating value in buyer-seller relationships,
prospecting, sales call planning, communicating the message, negotiating for win-win solutions, closing the sale, as well as how to motivate, compensate and train sales people.
Request to Add a New Course - MKT 5700 Healthcare Marketing - This course will provide students with an understanding of marketing strategies and practices within the healthcare industry. Concepts such as market segmentation, target market, product positioning, and new product development will be covered and applied to key components of the healthcare industry (e.g. pharmaceuticals, medical devices, health insurance and providers). The structure of sales and marketing organizations as well as ethical issues facing the industry when marketing its products and services will also be discussed.

Request to Add a New Course - REST 5200 Real Estate Investments and Finance - This course examines real estate as a financial asset that is purchased, sold, and financed with debt and equity. In addition to analysis at the deal level, the course discusses financing, valuation, capital markets, securitization, REITs, and portfolio management. Topics include investment valuation, decision-making and strategy, cash-flow forecasting, financial leverage, income tax considerations, measures of investment performance, risk considertions, lending decisions, credit instruments, and various financing methods. Topics include: the development procss from both the entrepreneurial and public perspectives, developers are risk management, two-party contracts for land options/purchase agreements, contracts to hire architectural and engineering firms, construction contracts, commercial leases, construction and permanent loan agreements, and ownership structures to attract and manage equity investments, static and dynamic financial analysis, financial, economic, legal/institutional, and physical dimensions of development. Concepts include the development of a marketing strategy, understanding consumer behavior, marketing research, and digital marketing, marketing ethics, and internal marketing are also covered. Numerous international examples will be used to show how tourism and hospitality marketing theory is applied in practice.
